Hello Toothpaste - Standard Toothpaste
From the description of Hello toothpaste, you can see something is not clear. Hello toothpaste is not natural toothpaste. But they are using marketing tricks and twist some words so a customer can think it is a natural product. Natural Friendly Hello Oral Care, they say. What the hell does that mean? You will see below when we go and investigate each ingredient how natural friendly they are.
But before we talk about bad things, let say some good stuff. This toothpaste has breathtaking packaging. I like the package colors and fonts they use. American Dental Association accepted this toothpaste. But after you read what I have to say about their ingredients, you will care very little about who ADA accepts and who they don’t accept.
Description of Hello toothpaste:
“say hello to our naturally friendly? Anticavity toothpaste. Our original flavors, supermint, pink grapefruit mint, and mojito mint, have earned the ADA seal and are clinically proven to prevent cavities and strengthen enamel. They safely polish teeth with gentle silica and freshen your breath, but hold on; there’s more. Our pastes are also free from preservatives, dyes, triclosan, microbeads, and artificial sweeteners, and they rock xylitol and stevia.
And wait for it, here’s the best part: they taste freaking awesome. Our new peach mango mint toothpaste, like all our pastes, is so delicious, you’ll develop a crush on your brush. Seriously”
What do I say:
You use the word natural and use fluoride in the toothpaste. Even the monkey on the tree knows that fluoride is a bad ingredient. I won’t even talk here about fluoride. But we don’t want fluoride in our mouth!!!
Ok, now I m getting nervous. Sorbitol is a sugar alcohol. It is also a sweetener.
Gentle? Not sure how gentle Hydrated Silica is inside Hello toothpaste, but silica is silica. Conventional toothpaste uses silica.
I see this in every toothpaste. They simply don’t have the solution to make a pasty feeling in your mouth without this ingredient. And Glycerin is preventing the remineralization of your teeth.
This component is very nature-friendly. Only if a dog eats this component could die. So Hello toothpaste is not friendly to dogs. Ok, we can keep our dogs away from this toothpaste.
Others are dropping this ingredient, but Hello keeps it and calls it natural. Xanthan Gum is additive. Collected from fermented sugar. People with diabetes and pregnant woman should avoid this product.
Sodium Lauryl Sulfate
I am not sure if I should laugh or cry. This ingredient is kicked out from most natural toothpaste brands. Fluoride and SLS are the worst things in toothpaste. They are primary ingredients in conventional toothpaste.
If you think things can go worse, then listen to what titanium dioxide is. Titanium Dioxide, by recent research, is an ingredient that can cause cancer. It is a highly controversial component, and recent research can link this ingredient to cancer.
Hello Toothpaste Review
I have nothing against Hello toothpaste. They are good for people that don’t care for their health. But using the word natural on something that is so against nature is bad. As a conventional toothpaste, this toothpaste is the same as all others. But if you compare this to some of the best natural toothpaste, then Hello toothpaste cant be high on that list. I reviewed this toothpaste a long time ago, and now I understand that they are not making natural toothpaste. Hello toothpaste is normal toothpaste, which is no better or worse than the competition in that field.
