Cons

  • Contains Fluoride

I have found Lavera toothpaste online. It was looking pretty promising for me. Lavera Basis Sensitive is made in Germany. It has a natural certificate and is made for vegans. Only that information tells you that this toothpaste can be right for you. But we already learn that a natural certificate means nothing. Some elements are allowed on that list that is linked to many health problems.Lavera Toothpaste

Good Things About Lavera Toothpaste

Like we already said, it is made in Germany. Germany has strict laws, and Lavera Basis Sensitive has a natural certificate. It is made for vegans. But not only that, Lavera toothpaste is made with sea salt, and we know sea salt toothpaste is excellent for cleaning and keeping your teeth healthy. Lavera uses plant extracts from arnica and echinacea. Echinacea and arnica extracts help in oral flora and protect gums.

Bad Things About Lavera Toothpaste

All-natural toothpaste brands have good healthy ingredients. Those ingredients help in oral hygiene, but many of them use ingredients that are not healthy. Usually, they hide those parts with small letters.

Here are controversial ingredients used in Lavera Toothpaste:
Sorbitol – sweetener whose primary job is to keep toothpaste tasty. It has zero health benefits. And since it is sugar, it is questionable as an element in mouth hygiene.

CI 77891Titanium Dioxide is another name for this code. And as we already wrote before in few reviews, Titanium Dioxide is linked to cancer in recent research. So it is probably better to avoid ingesting Titanium Dioxide. It is fascinating how come this toothpaste has a natural certificate, yet it contains this artificial questionable element.

Titanium dioxide, after all, is safe and approved by agencies.

Sodium Cocoyl Glutamate – This is not such a big difference from Sodium Lauryl Sulfate. It is actually almost the same thing. But SCG is not researched as SLS, so its dangers are not known at the moment. If I were you, I would avoid this element at all costs. The main purpose of this ingredient is to create foam in your mouth. There are no other health benefits from this part.

Xanthan Gum is another additive. It is another sweetener whose main purpose is to make Lavera toothpaste taste good. So many sweeteners in Lavera toothpaste make you believe this toothpaste tastes awful without all that sugar.

Sodium Fluoride – Yes, you read it right. Made in Germany and has Natural Certificate, but it has one of the biggest poisons you can put in your mouth. We have spoken so much about Fluoride and all the dangers with Fluoride.

Aroma – Yes, you read it right again. They state in the ingredients list that this toothpaste contains aroma. They don’t say what kind of aroma. Wherefrom they get this aroma. I would run away from Lavera toothpaste and most probably run away from all other Lavera Cosmetics products with this hidden information.

In conclusion, I must say that I m very disappointed. I m surprised that you can produce this kind of product in Europe. Lavera toothpaste has a tiny difference from conventional toothpaste. The only difference is that Lavera toothpaste has the label “Natural.” Sorry, but I won’t buy this.
