There is a bee saying if bees go extinct humans will extinct too. Probably because of that saying and human bee connection, bee products are so priced. Honey is way better sweetener than refined sugar; you don’t need to be smart to know that. But bees have many other products that are used in various medical fields. Burt’s Bees toothpaste, unfortunately, doesn’t have a stronger connection to the bees and the only connection I have found is that both bees and this toothpaste love Mint Medley.

Fluoride Free
Burt’s Bees Toothpaste Features and Ingredients
Hydrated Silica
Used to brush stain and plaque from teeth. Unfortunately, this is not a natural ingredient, and you should know that.
Titanium Dioxide
Titanium dioxide, on the other hand, could be natural, it is found in nature, but we don’t yet know much about it. It is used in the food industry, and it has its own E number E171. It is additive that keeps food attractive for a long time. In toothpaste, however, its job is probably to keep the paste fresh. In 2015 research done in Netherland found no significant problems in E171 consumption.
Xanthan Gum
Also, another non-natural ingredient that we have talked about a lot on this website. But the amount of this ingredient in this toothpaste is so small that represents no trouble at all, even if your kid eats it.
Sodium Cocoyl Glutamate
Now, this ingredient is unknown. I mean we know many toothpaste brands that use this ingredient and avoid SLS and other preservatives, but still, we know little about SCG. We do know that SLS is terrible, and Burt’s Bees Toothpaste is free from SLS.
Choose Fluoride Free
Burt’s Bees Toothpaste is covering both fields, an old-style toothpaste with fluoride and new natural toothpaste brands without fluoride. The science is not yet clear on which type of toothpaste is better, but in my opinion, it is better to avoid fluoride. They also offer toothpaste with fluoride for kids. I know I would never give this kind of toothpaste to my kid. Maybe his teeth will not be strong, but his brain will be at maximum capacity.

Mint Medley
Mint medley is a mixture of natural healthy herbs. Peppermint leaves are the main ingredient in Mint Medley mixture, but spearmint, rose hips, and lemon peel are also contributing to its health benefits. Without a doubt, toothpaste with Mint Medley has unique healing properties and will keep your teeth healthy.
Fresh Breath
As you probably read between the lines, this toothpaste will keep your breath fresh thanks to the Mint Medley mixture which is full of peppermint and spearmint leaves. And we all know that peppermint and spearmint will keep your breath fresh for a long time.
Animal Cruelty-Free
I know many people don’t care about product testing, but we love animals. Burt’s Bees Toothpaste is not tested on animals, which means it is ideal for vegans or beegans.
No Preservatives or Additives
Well, to tell you the truth, there are some additives, like already mentioned E171 or so-called titanium dioxide and xanthan gum, but these ingredients are safe, or let’s say way safer than the ingredients used in conventional toothpaste. There are no artificial colors in Burt’s Bees Toothpaste and zero artificial flavors. All flavors are natural essential oils or other natural components.

Conclusion
If you love trying new products, advanced products that are based on nature, then I can highly recommend Burt’s Bees Toothpaste. Burt’s Bees Toothpaste maybe is not directly connected to the bees, but the Mint Medley is one of the most interesting components I have seen in a toothpaste.
